I was looking at the front of the house today and I have to admit it is looking pretty sad. It needs something new to perk it up. I put a hand painted Italian planter and a wicker chair on the balcony, which helped a little.
It's the front porch that is the real disaster. The wicker love seat needs to be replaced and the whole thing looks drab. I am thinking about getting some decorative planters for a splash of color. If I buy colorful planters then I don't have to be so worried about keeping flowers alive. Ferns are pretty much the only things I can grow so the color has to come from the outdoor planters. The stores should be putting out the outdoor furniture soon so hopefully I'll find something fun.
