My Husband Collects Vacuums

I know my husband tends to collect things. If one of something is a good thing than three of them must be better in his eyes. He has become obsessed with vacuums lately. LOL I try not to say anything since he cleans with them. But really, do we need a cannister, a Dyson upright, a Kirby upright and 2 cordless for a three bedroom house? LOL I think I am going to have to put my foot down if he tries to buy another one.

An Amazing Rescue

I was shocked to hear today that one of the men from the missing boat off Tampa was rescued alive. The boat and 4 men have been missing since Saturday. It is getting a lot of press because two of the men are ex NFL players. The rescued man was a player for USF. He was clinging to the overturned boat's propeller. He said the boat overturned Saturday and the others floated away. It is amazing that he was able to survive in these temperatures.

Freebies

I know freebies have always been popular. But now it seems like people are lining up for them even more than ever. I guess it is the economy. We went to Sam's Club the other day and I thought two women were going to get in a fight over one of those free food samples. One lady took the last sample and another lady was reaching for it at the same time. I was shocked to hear the lady who didn't get it say something nasty. And it must not have been a good day for the other lady either because she shot something nasty back at her. I would hate to be between those two and some custom promotional products being given away. They'd probably come to blows!

Shopping for Baby

I am so excited. My dear friend's daughter is pregnant. She had thought that she was not able to have a baby so it is extra special. They waited a long time to announce it since they have been disappointed in the past.

Now my friend is going crazy shopping for nursery furniture. It is going to be her special gift to the baby. She has agreed to let her other daughter buy the changing table but it was a struggle. LOL I told her about ShopWiki.com for online shopping. It is a search engine for shopping. It doesn't just show retailers who pay for a spot, it shows all retailers.

I told her that I would like to buy a really cool diaper bag. Since it is something that the mom will be carrying a lot I think they should be extra special. I guess I had better get busy on ShopWiki myself.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss

If he were still alive Dr. Seuss would be 105 today. He was such a special part of my childhood I had to acknowledge the day. Dr. Seuss's books were a big part of my childhood. I adored them and read them many times. I also have fond memories of reading them to my younger brother once he came along. We were ten years apart so I had to wait a long time to have someone to read them to. His books will be enjoyed by many generations to come. Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss.
