Somebody Stop Me

For some unknown reason I decided that I could make a couple of new pet beds for Zack and Lola. Technically I am just making new covers, the cushions on their beds are fine. Since I am in economy mode these days it seemed reasonable that instead of buying new beds I would make new covers. Easy, right? Let's just say that I now know why I have always bought dog beds instead of making them.

He Has the Gardening Bug

I can tell it's spring, my husband has the gardening bug. Mind you, he still has back problems and is in pain every day. But that doesn't stop him from trying to go out there and do things. Which means I go out after him and help so it will get done so he will leave it alone. Have I mentioned that I hate gardening? :( I like the results but there are way too many creepy crawlies out there for my taste. I'd rather just mulch the whole yard.

The Best Dog Park

We took a trip to Memphis last week to visit my parents. While we were there we took the dogs to the dog park at Shelby Farms. All I can say is wow! It is absolutely huge. It didn't say how big it is but my guess is at least 100 acres. It is part of the 4,500 acre Shelby Farms Park. The dogs could run as far as they wanted to and not run out of park. It was even more fun when a group of horse riders showed up to ride through the area. They were all dressed in their equestrian apparel. I thought the dogs would go crazy but they ignored them. I wish we had a park like that here.
